EEG has for many years had the support of a large number of companies based in the UAE. In an attempt to work more closely with these companies and recognising the increasing importance of CSR globally and in the UAE it was decided that a CSR Network should be established.

EEG embarked on an ambitious programme at the beginning of 2004 to collaborate with leading public and private enterprises on solving environmental problems and promoting sustainable development through the concept of CSR.

As part of the CSR Network EEG is conducting a series of events. International speakers are invited to take part, and local companies present case studies.

At its inception, the EEG CSR Network was the only multi-stakeholder forum in the region dedicated to promoting CSR and sharing best practice. Under the slogan "Building Partnerships for a Sustainable Future" our aim has been to facilitate exchange of ideas and to forge lasting partnerships across the sectors.
